This is what a lot of passion and not a lot of concern sounds like. Short, sharp songs that have been criminally under-produced (on purpose), potent and catchy. No make that ridiculously potent and incredibly catchy. I am completely enamoured with this album right now. Continue reading Press Club – Late Teens (2018)
Debut full length from indie rock outfit that owes a lot to the Cure and Balance and Composure..but seriously..how could that ever be a bad thing? Continue reading Love Games – Nothing Ever Moves You (2017)
Sad music with guitars. Great.

Perth based outfit Spilt Cities’ are bringing the goods with their full length album ‘Life, On Hold’. A fully realised body of work that is so tastefully executed that you’d be forgiven for thinking they’re some old school shoegaze post-punk group you’re older sibling used to listen to in the 90’s. It’s far from a rip off though, not a derivative genre copy. It’s a worthy new addition. I am all about this. Continue reading Recovery Room – A Lesson in Letting Go (2017)
The Nation Blue return. Holy shit. Engaging, intense and relevant. Nothing else released this year even comes close. Continue reading The Nation Blue – Black (Poison City) 2016
